Geneviève L Richard - I love la Vénus de Milo

Geneviève L Richard works with cultural icons such as Venus de Milo and the typical 50's housewife. Once removed from their social context, these feminine figures become aesthetic ideals. Using collage and installation, Richard portrays devotion controlled by desire, ecstasy, fantasy and tasteful supermarket discounts of the week.
