MAQUETTES ET AUTRES DISPOSITIFS CLIMATIQUES
Daniel Corbeil

From Febuary 3rd to March 7th 2010
Opening Wednesday Febuary 3rd, 6:30 pm

With Maquettes et autres dispositifs climatiques, Daniel Corbeil playfully explores landscapes affected by global warming. Using scale models, laboratory set-ups and photographs, Corbeil presents simulations wich probe the consequences of environmental disturbances on the morphology of northern landscapes. These models, made out of recuperated materials and foodstuffs (icing sugar, chocolate, marshmallow, corn flour) become playful scenarios in wich we catch a glimpse on a reduced scale of the perturbations resulting from melting glaciers, soil erosion and industrialisation. In addition to Étuveuse climatique, an installation wich simulates the greenhouse effect and wich has not stopped changing since its conception, Corbeil will present a new installation around the rising water levels wich threaten our environment
