IMAGING THE INVISIBLE
Robbin Deyo

From March 24 to May 2nd 2010
Opening Wednesday March 24, 6:30 pm

For her exhibition , Imaging the invisible, Robbin Deyo intends to use intensely saturated lines of colour to suggest and make visible, poetically, the energiesthat fill the public and private spaces wich we inhabit; full of the invisible vibrations of electromagnetic fields transmitted as radio waves, microwaves, etc. in this present technological era. Her interest arises from a personal health issue and a questioning of the effects the surrounding environment may have on our well being. This project followsher first in-situ wall work, FLOW (2009), where she used lines produced with the toy Super Spirograph to delineate the irregular gallery space of La Chambre Blanche. The resulting decorative environment of undulating and staright lines was suggestive of strata as if the empty space had been dug out of a solid form while also highlighting details and modifying the experience in the space.
